Lt. Johnson was on a 308th Bombardment Group B-24 (listed as "Old Acquaintance", #44-40826). He and the remainder of the crew were MIA on December 18, 1944 (declared deceased December 19, 1945) on a flight off the coast of China. He entered the service from Virginia. Awards: Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal, Purple Heart.
