S/Sgt. Ed Toy of Chicago, Illinois, repairs instruments of Curtiss P-40s at an aircraft factory somewhere in China during WWII. Chew K. Wong of Sacramento promoted to Captain in the Air Corps. In October 1943 he was assigned to Air Service Command and put in charge of salvaging the airplanes that have crashed and are scattered throughout China. He has been recommended for the Legion of Merit.
