Henry Weiss of Brooklyn, NY; Tec 4, 219th Signal Depot Company, 931st Signal Battalion (Avn) (Sp), standing before a bulletin board at Tollygunge, India, during WWII.

In October 1943, the 219th Signal Depot Co.  arrived and received assignment in signal depots in the CBI. The 219th was stationed at Tollygunge, India, near Calcutta, for a time, and also in Burma for a time, as that was a critical area, especially during the efforts to push out Japanese forces in 1944/1945, but the 219th presumably ended up at Luliang, China, at some point as the 931st Battalion had a company there, and T/4 Weiss spent time at Luliang.

T/4 Weiss rode the ship back to San Francisco in March/April 1946.
