Rest camps are located near Kunming and Chengtu (Chengdu). Excellent traditional facilities are available including swimming, boating, golf, tennis, fishing and hunting. A medical officer and nurse are always in attendance and everything possible to done to help .. forgot the unpleasant things of war. Great benefit is observed after even one week of relaxation. The photographs below show the building and facilities at the large Kunming camp which is run by Service of Supply. the Chengtu camp is entirely Air Force and meets a real need in that area.
This is Camp Schiel, in Tangchi township, Yunnan province, southeast of Kunming. In 2005 this site could still be easily recognized.
